The inlet air undergoes compression through the rotary compressor at the pressure of 5-7 bars for further cooling by low pressure refrigerant to achieve the temperature around 12 degree Celsius. After that, the air is passed through the air purifier that consists of twin molecular sieve driers for the efficient removal of carbon dioxide and moisture. Further, the air passes through low pressure plates to cool it down through air expansion process below the sub zero temperatures for assuring fast liquification in the turbo expander at -165 to -170 deg C. The remaining mixture is then efficiently separated into the elemental form of oxygen and nitrogen through rectification with a purity rate of 99.6% and 99.99% respectively. Apart from this, these plants compress the oxygen and nitrogen gas at pressure more than 150 bars for the safe filling into the cylinders of specific volumes.
